Can one appointment be paid with multiple methods?
Yes. Terminz supports split payments out of the box. You can add as many payment splits as you need, whether cash, card, or gift card, and the system tracks the remaining balance after each one.
What happens if the internet goes down during checkout?
Terminz queues the transaction locally and syncs it automatically once the connection is back. The retry logic handles failures without any manual intervention from staff.
How do refunds work?
Staff can issue partial or full refunds directly from the transaction history. Each refund requires a reason, goes through a configurable approval step, and is logged against the original charge, so the audit trail stays clear.
Are gift cards tracked separately?
Yes. Each gift card has its own transaction history showing every purchase and redemption. Balances update in real time, and the full card ledger is available from the dashboard.
What receipt formats does Terminz support?
Terminz generates receipts formatted for 80mm thermal printers as well as digital receipts. Each one includes business info, itemised services, discounts, tax, tip, payment method, and a unique receipt number.
Is Terminz TSE compliant for German salons under KassenSichV?
Yes. Terminz meets German TSE requirements under KassenSichV. Every transaction is signed in real time via Fiskaly TSE, receipts include the mandatory signature, and all POS data is stored tamper-proof. Hair salons, beauty studios, and nail studios in Germany are required to use a certified TSE-enabled POS system.
