When your connection drops, the terminal queues transactions locally and retries with exponential backoff. The moment you are back online, everything syncs automatically, with no manual steps.

Multi-method checkout with split payments

Record cash, card, bank transfer, PayPal, or any combination. Split a single appointment across multiple payment methods or apply a deposit already paid at booking. Hardware card reader integration is coming soon.

Cash drawer tracking

Log deposits, withdrawals, and opening or closing balances directly in the terminal. Every cash drawer event is recorded with a timestamp for accurate end-of-day reconciliation.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to buy specific hardware to use the POS terminal?

You need an iPad or Android tablet to run the Terminz Terminal app. No proprietary POS hardware is required, any standard tablet works. For receipt printing, a standard 80mm USB or Bluetooth thermal printer is all you need.

How exactly does offline mode work?

When your internet connection drops, the terminal detects the outage automatically and displays a clear offline indicator for staff. Transactions are saved locally and queued with automatic retry using exponential backoff. As soon as the connection is restored, all pending transactions sync to the server without any manual action.

Can I run multiple checkout terminals in the same location?

Yes. You can activate multiple terminal devices per location using device activation codes. Each terminal operates independently, so a network issue on one device does not affect the others. All transactions are consolidated in your central dashboard.

Will you support hardware card readers in the future?

Hardware terminal integration (physical card reader pairing) is not yet available but is on our roadmap. Today, card payments are recorded manually in the checkout flow. We are working with payment processors to enable direct hardware connectivity and will announce it when ready.

Can I split a payment across cash and card for one appointment?

Yes. Split payments are fully supported. You can apply any combination of cash, card, bank transfer, PayPal, or a deposit the customer already paid at booking, all within the same checkout flow.
