Reading the dashboard: daily overview and quick links
How to read the dashboard home page: daily figures, the task bar, upcoming appointments, revenue, team availability and quick actions like “New Appointment”.
In the dashboard
- Menu
- Today → Dashboard
- Who
- Any manager at the location, without special permissions. The sales overview and two quick access options appear only if the till is set up.
Reading the Dashboard: Daily Overview, Open Tasks, and Quick Links
The dashboard is the home page after you log in. You can access it via Today → Dashboard (/dashboard) or by clicking the logo. It displays the location selected at the top of the dashboard and answers three questions: What's on the agenda today, what needs my attention, and what's next. To work through the day's tasks, go to page “Today” (see “Today: Work Through the Day's Appointments”).
If your location hasn't been fully set up yet, the dashboard will redirect you to the setup process until it's complete.
Header
At the top is the greeting (“Good morning”, “Good afternoon”, or “Good evening” with your first name), below that is the date and the location name, and to the right is the logo. The time of day shown in the greeting is based on your device's clock.
There are two numbers next to it:
- appointments today: all appointments for the day at the location, including those that have already passed. If any are still open, “3 still open” appears below.
- next appointment: the time of the next appointment today, in the location's time zone. If there are no more appointments today, it says “—”, and if there were appointments, “day complete” appears below.
Quick Access
Below the numbers is a bar with buttons:
- New appointment: the main button; opens the page for creating an appointment (see “Create an appointment in the dashboard”).
- New customer: opens the form for a new customer directly on the page (see “Create, search for, and view customer files”).
- Today and Calendar: jump to the daily list and the calendar. On mobile devices, these are already in the bottom bar and are not duplicated here.
- Analytics and New expense: only available if the till is set up. “Analytics” opens the financial report; “New expense” opens the form for a new expense.
- Time tracking: Only available if time tracking is enabled and you are registered as a staff member at that location. The button opens “My times”.
What You Need
Below the header is the task bar. It displays only tiles with a number greater than zero, with the most urgent ones first:
- Emergency actions active: how many service blocks and resource blocks are currently active. Tapping opens “Absences & closures”.
- Review appointments: how many appointments are waiting for your response. Tapping opens Today → Requests, tab “Appointments”.
- Approvals: Open time entries (only if time tracking is enabled) and open absence requests combined. Tapping opens Today → Requests.
- Open tickets: Messages to support that haven't been resolved yet. Tapping opens the messages.
If no tile is open, “All done — nothing needs your attention.” appears there
For a new location with no data, the checklist “Bring your data” with four steps (Services, Team, Customers, Appointment Book) appears below it. It disappears as soon as the setup is complete or the location already has data.
Upcoming Appointments
The large field Upcoming appointments lists the upcoming appointments starting now, including those for tomorrow or later, excluding canceled ones. Six are displayed; twelve are loaded. Each row shows the date, day of the week, and time; the customer's name with status; the service; on wide screens, the staff member and duration; and the price on the right. Tapping it opens the appointment sheet (see “Using the Calendar and Editing Appointments”), where you can also edit the appointment. Tap View all to go to the calendar.
If there are no upcoming appointments, “No upcoming appointments” and the Book appointment button will appear there.
The list updates automatically as soon as an appointment is created or modified.
Sales Overview
The Revenue overview field on the right appears only if the till is set up. It displays today's revenue as a large number compared to yesterday's, a small graph showing the last 14 days, and below that This week (since Monday) and This month, each showing the percentage change compared to the previous week or the previous month, respectively. The revenue shown here is the appointment revenue. Report opens the financial report.
The day, week, and month are based on your device's calendar, not the location's clock.
Team Availability
The Team availability field shows, for today, each staff member's status, a workload bar in percent, and three numbers: “booked”, “available”, and, if applicable, “blocked”.
- Available: There is at least one available slot left.
- Busy: Everything is booked; for these staff members, “Next at 2:30 PM” appears on the right, indicating the next available slot.
- Off: No slots available on this day; for example, they are off.
Five staff members are visible; click Show All 8 Staff members to view them all. Show more days displays “Tomorrow” and “Day after tomorrow” as well. Click View staff to open the staff member list. If no one is scheduled, “No staff availability data” appears.
Support, Reviews, Marketing, and Online Presence
At the very bottom, there are up to four small fields, each labeled View all:
- Support: the most recent tickets with their numbers. Tapping opens the ticket. If there are no tickets, “No tickets” appears.
- Reviews: average star rating, number of reviews, “n pending” for reviews still awaiting your approval, and the most recent review texts. This field links to the reviews. If there are no reviews, it displays “No reviews yet”.
- Marketing: active campaigns and active discount codes, plus “n inactive codes.” This field links to the marketing overview.
- Online presence: whether your Public page is “Live” or in “Draft”, and whether Booking page is “Active” or “Inactive”—each with a link to copy it—and “Setup incomplete” if anything is still missing. This field leads to the website editor.
Frequently Asked Questions
Where can I see all of today's appointments? On the “Today” page, with status tabs and a search function. The dashboard only shows the upcoming ones.
Why is the sales overview missing? It only appears if the point-of-sale system is set up for the location.
Why does “appointments today” show a different number than the list? The number counts all appointments for the day, while the list below shows only the upcoming ones. Appointments that have already passed are included only in the total.
Where do I set what the dashboard displays? Nowhere—the fields are fixed. They appear when there's something to show.
