Set Up, Publish, and Share Your Website

Here's how to set up your location's public page, assign the web address, go live or take the page offline, print the QR code, and view the page numbers.

Set Up, Publish, and Share Your Website

Each location has a public page featuring services, the team, hours of operation, reviews, and a booking button. You'll find the central settings for this in the menu under Marketing & website → Website & Google → Your website (/manager/marketing/website). Here you can set the address, publish or unpublish the page, share the QR code, and see how many visitors are coming. You can change the appearance and content in the editor under “Edit website” (see “Designing the Website in the Editor”).

The page belongs to the location selected at the top of the dashboard. If you have multiple locations, there's a location selection field at the very top. Next to the title, a small help text (“How to build your page”) explains the page when you visit it for the first time.

Initial Setup: The Wizard

As long as the location doesn't have a template yet and the page has never been published, Terminz displays three steps instead of the main menu: Template, Your look, and Publish. Use Back to go back one step.

  1. Template: Tap a layout. It's applied immediately, and the wizard continues. The layout determines which sections the page has and in what order. Colors and content remain yours, and you can change the layout later.
  2. Your look: “Cover image”, “Logo”, “Primary color”, and the description of your location. Press Next to save the color and, if changed, the description. Everything can be changed later in the editor.
  3. Publish: In field “Your page address”, you specify the web address (“How customers find your page”). Two buttons:
    • Publish now saves the address, enables the location's public page, publishes the page, and opens the editor.
    • Later saves the URL and enables the site's public page, but leaves the page as a draft and opens the editor. It won't be visible until you activate it later.

Both buttons are disabled as long as the address is too short, already taken, or still under review. The rules for the address are listed below. Before publishing, the legal notice and privacy policy must be complete. If they are missing, the step displays the warning “Complete your legal pages”, and Terminz rejects the publication with the message: “Before the page goes live, the legal notice and privacy policy must be complete.” Below the wizard, the fields for address, domain, and sharing are already available.

The Dashboard Once the Site Is Set Up

From top to bottom:

Warning regarding the legal notice and privacy policy. If either document is missing or still contains placeholder text, “Complete your legal pages” appears with Complete now. The button leads to the legal pages (see “Upload your legal notice, privacy policy, and terms of service”). If the site is already live, it indicates that something is missing; before publishing, it indicates that the site cannot go live otherwise.

Header card. It displays the page title and Open editor on the right. Below that are two cards:

  • Public page (“Your info and marketing page”) with the status Live, Hidden, or Draft. The page is “Live” when it is published and the site's public page is active. “Hidden” means: published, but the site's public page is turned off; visitors will then see “not found.” “Draft” means: not published. Below that is the address with Copy link (followed by “URL copied”) and Open in new tab.
    • Turn on activates the site's public page and publishes the page. This won't work without a complete legal notice and a complete privacy policy, and you'll receive a message to that effect.
    • Turn off (only if the page is live) queries “Disable” with the text “Your page becomes a draft. Customers can no longer see it.”. After that, “Unpublished” appears there. The toggle for the location's public page remains on.
  • Booking page (“Online appointment booking”) with the status Live or Off, its address, and Manage. This leads to “Set Up Booking Rules”. You turn online booking on and off there, not here.

Below the cards is a sentence explaining what this means for your customers, for example “Customers find your page and book their appointment right there.” or, if the page is a draft and online booking is turned off, “Your page is still a draft and online booking is off. Nobody sees it until you publish it.”

“How far your page is”. This block only appears as long as something is missing. It counts (“3 more items, then your page will look complete.”) and lists the items that are still pending. If you tap one, you'll jump to where you can complete it:

  • “Upload a cover image” and “Write a description”: to section “Cover image & description” in the editor. Only an image you've uploaded counts as a cover photo—not the default image.
  • “Upload your logo”: to “Logo & colours” in the editor. Again, only an image you've uploaded counts.
  • “Show photos”: to the gallery in the editor. One photo is enough.
  • “Enter opening hours”: to the section for business hours in the editor.
  • “Create your services”: to page “Services”.
  • “Imprint & privacy policy”: to the legal pages.

Group “Where customers find you”. Two lines:

  • Web address displays your page's address (“No address yet”, unless one is already set). Tapping it opens window “Web address”.
  • Own domain displays the status of your own domain and links to “Your Own Domain for Your Website”.

Group “Look and content”. Five lines, each leading to the editor or to the legal pages:

  • Sections (“Order, show or hide what your page shows”)
  • Logo & colours (“Logo, cover photo and your page colour”)
  • Fonts & shapes (“How headings, buttons and spacing look”)
  • Get found on Google (“The title and text Google and WhatsApp show about you”)
  • Legal pages (“Imprint, privacy & terms”). If something is missing, it will say “Imprint or privacy policy missing”.

Group “Share”. Line Widgets for your website shows whether you have enabled widgets for third-party sites (see “Embed the booking widget on an external website”). The line Google Profile links to Google (“Hours, photos and booking button on Google”) and appears only if your plan and permissions allow it.

QR Codes. The block “QR codes for your page” appears as soon as the page has an address. It displays the QR code for the Public Page and for Booking page; you can toggle between them, but only for the options that are enabled. You can copy the address (“Copy URL”) and view it in a new tab (“Preview”). The code is permanently valid and always redirects to your current page, even if the address changes. Below that, “Poster and cards” offers three print formats: “Poster A4” (one sheet for a window or wall), “Counter card A5” (for a counter), and “Cards” (eight cards on an A4 sheet to cut out). If pop-ups are blocked when printing, allow pop-ups for Terminz.

Numbers. A bar displays “Views”, “Rating” (average with count, otherwise a line), and “Published on”. Below that is “Page analytics” for the last 30 days with “Page views”, “Unique visitors”, “Bounce rate”, “Avg. Time on Page”, “Booking clicks”, “Phone clicks”, and “Contact forms”, as well as two trend charts. If the page has no visitors yet, it shows “No analytics data available yet”.

Versions. Only visible once the page exists: “Version history”. It is described below.

Setting the Web Address

In the “Where customers find you” group, tap Web address. The window explains: All links to your page, to the booking, and in the QR code are generated from this address.

  • You only type the latter part. The first part is fixed.
  • Lowercase letters, numbers, and hyphens are allowed. Everything else is converted to a hyphen; double hyphens become a single hyphen; hyphens at the beginning and end are omitted. Example: “Salon Mirela!” becomes “salon-mirela”.
  • Minimum of 3 characters. If shorter, the dialog displays “Slug must be at least 3 characters long”.
  • Terminz checks half a second after the last entry to see if the address is available. A checkmark and “This address is free” mean available; an X with “This slug is already taken” means taken.
  • If you change an existing address, the window displays the new address (“after saving”) and warns: Old links will redirect to the new address, and your QR codes will continue to work. Replace the link wherever possible anyway; the redirect won't last forever.
  • Save address is only active once the address has been changed, is valid, and is available. After that, “Your page is now at …” appears at the top.

Version History

The “Version history” saves versions of your page. Use Create snapshot to create a version, optionally with a “Label (optional)” such as “Before the redesign.” Each version is assigned a number (“Version 3”). For each version, there are Restore and Delete. When restoring, Terminz prompts “Restore snapshot?” and warns: The current page content will be replaced.

A version contains the page title, the Google title, the Google description, and the keywords, as well as the order of the sections and the layout. Colors, fonts, photos, and section entries such as questions or galleries are not included and remain unchanged during restoration.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why can't customers see my page? Check the status on the map “Public page”. For “Draft”, enter Turn on; do the same for “Hidden”. If that doesn't work, the legal notice or privacy policy is missing.

Can I deactivate the page but keep online booking enabled? Yes. Turn off sets the page to draft mode. You control whether customers can book online in the booking rules. If the page is a draft and booking is enabled, only those with the booking link can book.

How do I change colors, text, and photos? Use Open editor. Page “Designing the Website in the Editor” describes each section.

Where do I post a QR code? In block “QR codes for your page”, go to “Poster and cards” to print the poster, display stand, or cards. The code will continue to work even after a change of address.
