Connect your Google Profile, sync it, and respond to reviews

On this page, you can keep your Google Business Profile (the one that appears in Google Search and Maps) synchronized with Terminz. You'll find it in the menu under Marketing & website → Website & Google → Google Profile (/manager/marketing/google-profile). This row only appears if you have the “Send promotional emails and SMS” permission and on the Komplett plan or higher. It applies to the location selected at the top of the dashboard.

Next to the title, a small help icon (“Your location on Google”) explains the four things the page can do: master data synchronization, connecting to Google, collecting reviews, and measuring visibility.

There are two levels. Without a connection, you only link your public profile: Terminz then compares your name, address, and other details with Google and retrieves the review link. When connected to your Google account, the page also displays the “Book Now” button, business hours, services, responses to reviews, and visibility metrics. The page displays five sections in this order (the last two only appear after connecting).

Google Connection

Section “Google connection” says: “Connect your Google Business Profile so booking button, opening hours and services stay current automatically.”

Not yet connected. You'll see “Not connected yet. Once connected, Terminz maintains your booking button and opening hours on Google.” and the Connect with Google button. It takes you to Google, where you log in and grant access; afterward, you'll be redirected back here to “Google account connected. Now pick your location.”. If Google or you cancel the process, it will show “The Google connection was cancelled.” If the connection isn't enabled on the system yet, it will say “The Google connection is not enabled on this system yet.” and the button will be disabled. If you've already saved your profile as a channel, “Your Google profile is already stored as a channel.” with Open profile will appear below it.

Select location. Immediately after signing in, “Google location” opens: “Which Google listing belongs to this location?” Tap your entry; then “Location linked — the booking button is set.” appears. If Google doesn't find an entry in this account, “No locations were found in this Google account.” appears. If you close the window without making a selection, the screen remains at “Location missing” with the Pick location button.

Connected. The status “Connected” shows “Last synced: …”. If the last sync failed, it displays “Last sync failed: …” along with the reason. Sync now starts the sync immediately (“Sync started.”). It transfers appointment buttons, business hours, and services to Google.

Connection expired. If Google has terminated access, “Google ended the access. Reconnect the location to keep syncing.” appears with Reconnect.

Disconnect. Disconnect prompts you to confirm (“Disconnect Google?”). After that, Terminz will no longer have access to your Google profile; the appointment button, business hours, and reviews will no longer be synced, and to restore them, you'll need to sign in to Google again. The button is intentionally placed below the Sync button.

Master Data Synchronization

The “Master-data audit” section compares your Terminz data in real time with your public Google profile.

Link Profile. As long as no profile is linked, it will say: “Link your Google Business Profile first — then Terminz compares your master data against it and the review link works.”. Type at least three characters in the field “Search your Google Business Profile” (placeholder “Your business name and town”) and tap Search (or Enter). For each match, the name and address are displayed; Link selects the match (“Google profile linked.”). When you select your location after linking, Terminz usually imports the profile automatically.

Review discrepancies. Afterward, “Everything matches.” or “… discrepancy(ies) found” will appear at the top. Below that, each field—Name, Address, Phone, Website, Hours, and Appointment Link—is displayed on a separate line with a status:

  • “OK”: matches;
  • “Differs”: Google shows something different (“Google shows: …”, “In Terminz: …”);
  • “Missing on Google”: something is listed on your site but not on Google;
  • “Missing in Terminz”: something is listed on Google but not on your site;
  • “Not verifiable”.

If there are discrepancies in the opening hours, the affected days are marked with “Google … · yours …” and “closed”, along with the link Open opening hours (leads to the opening hours, see “Set opening hours and display time zone”). For the other fields, use Duplicate to copy your value and enter it into Google. Terminz does not change the name, address, or phone number on Google itself. If Google is currently unavailable, “Your Google profile is unreachable right now. Try again later.” appears

Select a different profile. Pick another profile reopens the search. Open profile on Google Maps displays your profile on Google.

Remove link. The Remove link button only appears as long as you are not connected to Google (“Remove the Google link?”). After that, the rating link and master data synchronization will disappear from your public page; you can link a new profile at any time. If you're connected, disconnect first; otherwise, you'll see the message: “Disconnect from Google first, then you can remove the entry.”

What Terminz Shares with Google

Section “What Terminz shares with Google” has two toggles. Both are off by default and save immediately when toggled, without the bar at the bottom:

  • Appointments in Google Search and Maps: Sends your name, address, phone number, services with prices, and 30 days of available appointments to Google so customers can book directly from the listing.
  • Promotions as a Google post: Publishes every newly activated promotion as a post on your public Google profile.

Only turn it on if you want Google to receive this data.

Google Reviews

Section “Google reviews” contains the toggle Google review link in the review request. If it's on, the email sent after the appointment will also include the Google link and will be sent to all eligible customers. Google prohibits pre-selection based on satisfaction, so this feature is not available. The toggle is on by default and saves immediately. The review link itself appears below as soon as a profile is linked, with Duplicate and Open.

You can find the remaining review settings under Settings → Reviews (see “Set Up Reviews and Review Requests”).

Latest Google Reviews

The “Latest Google reviews” section only appears once you're logged in. The table has the following columns: Reviewer (with stars, no name “Google user”), Comment (“No comment” if empty), Response Status (“Answered” or “Unanswered”), and Date, with ten entries per page. If there are no reviews, it displays “No reviews on your Google profile yet.”

In the row menu, Publish reply opens a window with the comment and the field “Write a reply …”. Publish reply sends it to Google (“Reply published.”). A reply can be up to 4,000 characters long; it cannot be left blank. You cannot reply again to a review that has already been answered; the row is grayed out. If Google is unavailable or the review has expired, you'll receive a message and the reply won't be sent.

Visibility on Google

The “Visibility on Google” section (also only visible after connecting) displays “The last 30 days of your Google profile.” as a bar chart: Maps (Desktop), Maps (Mobile), Search (Desktop), Search (Mobile), Calls, Directions, and Website Clicks. If Google hasn't provided any figures yet, it will show “Google does not provide numbers for this profile yet. That is normal while API approval is pending.”

Frequently Asked Questions

Where do I link my Google Profile? Under Marketing & Website → Website & Google → Google Profile, click the “Connect with Google” button.

Does Terminz update my address on Google? No, the sync just shows any discrepancies and lets you copy the value. Terminz automatically syncs business hours, the "Book Now" button, and services to Google when your account is linked.

You cannot remove the link. You're still connected: go to “Disconnect” first.

Where do I disable the Google button in the review email? Here, in section “Google reviews”.

Why is the “Google Profile” line missing from the menu? You lack the “Send promotional emails and text messages” permission, or your plan isn't the “Komplett” plan.
