Invite customers via the registration link

With the registration link, customers can sign up with you on their own without you having to enter anything. Anyone who signs up is added to your customer list. You can find the page in the menu under Customers → Invite customers (/manager/customers/registration-link).

The Link

At the very top is card “Your registration link”. The link takes the form /c/<your-location> on the Terminz website and uses your location's address, not a random code.

  • Allow registration through this link: the map toggle. If it's off, it says “The link is off. Nobody can sign up through it right now.”. Use Switch the link on to turn it on.
  • Copy link copies the link to the clipboard; Open the page opens the page as customers see it.
  • The card displays “Signed up” (how many people have signed up via the link) and “Last sign-up” (“Nobody yet”, as long as no one has signed up yet).

The cards below only appear while the link is active.

Sign and Cards

Under “Poster and cards”, print the QR code. There are three formats: “Poster A4” (a sheet for the window or wall; the code can be scanned from two meters away), “Counter card A5” (half a page for the counter, right next to the till), and “Handouts” (eight cards on an A4 sheet to cut out and hand out). The code is the same everywhere. If your browser blocks the print window, “Pop-up blocked. Allow pop-ups to print.” will appear

Required Fields in the Form

Here you decide what someone must fill out before they can sign up. There are four radio buttons to choose from: Phone, Email, Address, and Date of birth. “First and last name are always asked for.” The more you require, the more people will drop out; a phone number and email address are almost always enough.

You can save the change using the bar at the bottom (“You have unsaved changes”) by clicking “Save” or “Discard.”

Message to Send

Under “Message to send”, write what you want your customers to read. The field “Message” is pre-filled with text (“Hi! We work with Terminz now. Sign up here and we will have your details for appointments and reminders:”). “The link is appended automatically.” Below that, “How it arrives” shows the preview.

  • Copy text copies the message and link so you can paste them into WhatsApp, Instagram, or your status.
  • Share opens your device's share menu. The button only appears if your browser supports this feature.
  • Send by email opens your email app with the subject line “Sign up with us”.

You can save the message, just like the required information, using the bar at the bottom.

What Happens After Registration

  • Anyone who signs up will then appear in the customer list. If Terminz already knows the person, it recognizes them by their number and merges the two entries instead of creating a second one.
  • There are two separate checkboxes: Appointment reminders are a service. Advertising is something else and is handled via a confirmation email.

Customers You Already Have

There's no Excel import feature for people: Terminz doesn't create a record for anyone who hasn't requested it themselves. You can upload your appointment book; any unknown names in it will be treated as walk-in customers. On the page, “Go to appointment import” takes you there.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I add customers myself? Yes, individually in the customer list using “Add customer” (see “Create, search for, and view customer files”).

The link isn't working anymore. What should I do? Turn off the switch “Allow registration through this link”. Anyone who opens the link after that will no longer be able to sign up.

Can I change the link? Not on this page.
