View, refund, and display receipt QR codes

This section lists every payment processed through the register or the POS app, including the receipt number, payment method, and TSE signature. You can also process refunds from here. You'll find the page in the menu under Financials → Daily → Payments (/manager/payments). It's part of the Complete POS plan. If you don't have the “POS System Transaction History” permission, Terminz won't display the list.

If the subscription ends, “Your books stay open” appears at the top. The row menus are then empty: “Refund” and “Receipt QR” no longer work, but “View” and “Export” still do. Below the list, the “Till Report” section appears with details about the till (see “Set Up Till and Taxes”).

The List

At the top, a number bar displays “Transactions”, “Grand total”, and the totals for the first two payment types in the selected time period. The numbers are based on the filters and search criteria.

The list has the following columns: “Receipt”, “Payment method”, “Date”, “Amount”, and “TSE”:

  • Receipt: the document number, along with the payment method as an identifier, the customer name (or “Walk-in”, “Unknown customer”), and who processed the payment. A refund is marked with “Refund” and has a negative amount.
  • Date: Date and time of the payment.
  • TSE: A flag containing the signature counter number if the payment is TSE-signed (“TSE-signed (kassenSichV)”); otherwise, a dash.

You can sort by “Receipt”, “Payment method”, “Date”, and “Amount”. The most recent payment appears first. There are 20 lines per page.

Search: It finds matches in the document number and in the reason for a refund.

Filters:

  • “Date range”: When you open the page, it's set to the first of the month through today.
  • “Payment method”: Cash, card, bank transfer, PayPal, or other.
  • “Refunded”: Toggle. If it's off, you'll only see payments without refunds.

Archived payments do not appear.

Refund a Payment

Tap Refund in the payment's row menu. If you're already processing a refund, the option is grayed out: You can't refund a refund. “Process refund” opens with the receipt number already filled in.

Terminz searches for the payment and displays “Original amount”, the customer, “Already refunded”, and “Refundable amount”. If it finds nothing, “No refundable transaction found for this receipt number.” appears there; if everything has already been refunded, “This transaction has already been fully refunded.” You can also enter a different Receipt number in the window and tap Search.

Then you specify what is to be refunded:

  • Refund amount: an amount in euros with two decimal places, at least €0.01 and no more than the refundable amount. The full refundable amount is preset. This allows you to issue a full or partial refund.
  • Products: Items on the receipt appear as separate lines. Use + and − to select how many items are being returned. Returned products are added back to inventory. As soon as you select a quantity, Terminz replaces the amount with the total of the products (“Refund for the products”; the discount has already been deducted), and the amount field disappears.
  • Reason: Required field for “Customer Request,” “Service Not Performed,” “Quality Issue,” “Double Charge,” “Appointment Canceled,” or “Other.” The default is “Customer Request.”
  • Details: Free text (“Additional details for this refund”). This is required for “Other”; otherwise, the button remains disabled.

“This action cannot be undone.” Use Process refund to post the entry. Afterward, “Refund processed” appears with the number of the new refund document.

A refund is TSE-signed just like a payment. This has two consequences:

  • If TSE is not set up for the location (“Refunds need a TSE”) or is currently unavailable (“The TSE is unavailable right now”), no refund will be issued. Set up TSE in the till settings or try again later.
  • If the signature cannot be applied immediately, the refund will still be posted and the signature will be added automatically later. The message will then say, “Do not refund the amount again.”

Show Receipt QR Code

Show receipt QR in the row menu opens the “Receipt QR code” for this payment. The customer scans it with their phone and can view, save, and print the receipt there. This way, even a walk-in customer can get their receipt without needing an email address. If the page fails to load, it will display “The QR code could not be loaded.”

TSE Export

In the upper right corner, TSE export (TAR) starts the export. The window explains it: It contains the signed transaction log from the security device—the file that the tax office requests during a till audit. The DSFinV-K export is a separate file set and is not included here.

Select Date range (from date to date; both are required) and tap Start export. The file will open for download. If it doesn't work, it will display “TSE export failed” or the reason.

Frequently Asked Questions

Where can I see payments from the previous month? Switch the filter to “Date range”. When you open the view, it's set to the current month by default.

Can I delete a payment? No. You can issue a refund instead; this creates a separate refund receipt, and the payment remains verifiable.

How do I refund just one product? In the “Process refund” window, tap + next to the product. The refund will then apply only to that product.

The “Refund” option is grayed out. The line itself is a refund. Refund the original payment.

I don't see the page in the menu. You lack the “View Basic Financial Reports” permission, or your location does not have the Complete POS plan.
