Booking links for Instagram, Google and the QR code

This page gives you a booking link of its own for every place you promote yourself, and shows which channel your customers booked online through. You find it in the menu under Marketing & website → Website & Google → Booking links (/manager/marketing/booking-links). It applies to the location selected at the top of the dashboard and only appears with the “Send promotional emails and SMS” permission.

Three other places lead here too: in Analytics under “Where bookings come from” through Links for your channels, on the Marketing overview through Open links, and on your website page in the “Share” group through the Booking links row.

Next to the title, the small guide “How to see where your customers come from” explains the three steps: copy the link, put it in the right place, read the numbers.

Every link opens the same booking page of your location. Only the end carries a small tag, for example ?ref=instagram. That tag tells Terminz where the customer came from when they book. Your customers see the same page with every link. Use each link only in its own place, or bookings land under the wrong channel.

Under “Your links” there is one row per channel with a short hint where its link belongs. Copy on the right of the row puts the link on the clipboard, then “Copied” shows for a moment. Tapping the row itself opens it and shows step by step where the link belongs, plus the full address.

  • Instagram: in your Instagram profile under Edit profile → Links → Add external link. Also fits the link sticker in your story.
  • Facebook: on your Facebook page under Edit page → Add button → Book now, then paste the link. Works in posts too.
  • Google: in your Google Business Profile under Edit profile → Contact → Appointment link. If Google is connected on the Google Profile page, Terminz adds the link for you.
  • Your website: on your own website, behind the “Book now” button.
  • QR code: this row has a Show button instead of Copy. It opens the code, and SVG, PNG and JPG download it. Print it on flyers, business cards, table stands or your shop window. Scanning it opens the booking straight away. The code goes through a fixed Terminz address, so it keeps working even if you change your page's web address later.

If your booking page is not online yet, the links are headed by “Your booking page is not online yet. The links work as soon as your location is approved.” You can still copy the links already.

Promotion emails, the Terminz widget on your website and your connected Google profile tag themselves. They need no link.

Online bookings of the last 30 days

The top of the page shows the online bookings of the last 30 days, one row per channel: “Instagram”, “Facebook”, “Google”, “Your website”, “QR code”, “Promotion email”, “Direct” or “Other sites”. Each row shows the number of bookings and a bar compared with the strongest channel, plus “new” when it was the person's first booking with you. A booking with several services counts once. Below, one sentence sums up which channel brought the most.

Only bookings customers made online themselves are counted. Appointments you or your team enter in the calendar or at the till are not counted here. If no online booking has come in yet, a sentence points you to your first link. If you also hold “Advanced Financial Analyses”, More numbers in Analytics leads to Analytics, where you choose the period yourself.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need a cookie banner for this? No. Terminz stores nothing on the customer's device and follows nobody across visits. The channel is read only from the link and from what the browser sends anyway when booking.

Why is an Instagram booking listed under “Direct”? The customer got a link without a tag, for example forwarded in a chat, and the browser did not say where they came from. Put the link from this page into Instagram.

Do I have to replace my old links? No, they still open your booking page. Terminz then counts those bookings by the page the customer came from instead of by the tag.

Can I create my own tags? No. There are the five links on this page, Terminz knows no other channels.
